Acceptable Use Policy

Rules applying to every use of Elektric and incorporated into the Terms.

1. General rule

Customer must use the Service lawfully, safely, consistently with others' rights and applicable upstream-provider rules, and may not enable another person to violate this policy.

2. Prohibited conduct

  • Illegal activity, fraud, scams, impersonation, credential theft, money laundering, trafficking, or facilitation of wrongdoing.
  • Malware, ransomware, phishing, spam, denial-of-service activity, unauthorized exploitation, or access to systems, accounts, or data without permission.
  • Unlawful threats, harassment, exploitation, violence, harmful content, or infringement of privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, confidentiality, or other rights.
  • Processing personal data without authority, notices, and safeguards.
  • Bypassing safety, rate, access, provider, billing, or content controls; unauthorized probing, scanning, reverse engineering, scraping, overload, or disruption.
  • Credential sharing or resale of raw account access; abusive automation, account creation to evade controls, or concealment of abusive activity.

3. Regulated and high-impact uses

Do not use the Service or Output as the sole basis for diagnosis/treatment; legal advice or determinations; employment, lending, credit, insurance, housing, education, benefits, or law-enforcement decisions; or other decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. Supporting use requires qualified human review, validation, notices, appeal mechanisms, and compliance controls.

Do not use the Service for unlawful biometric identification or categorization, indiscriminate surveillance, social scoring, or biometric databases built from unlawfully obtained material.

4. Minors, politics, and trade

Do not exploit or endanger minors, create child sexual abuse material, groom minors, or process children's data without lawful authority and safeguards. Do not conduct unlawful targeted political persuasion, voter suppression, deceptive election activity, or manipulation violating law or provider rules. Do not violate sanctions, export controls, or trade restrictions or circumvent provider eligibility/safety rules.

5. Enforcement

Elektric may investigate; remove or restrict content/capabilities; limit traffic; suspend credentials/accounts; preserve evidence; or report conduct as reasonably necessary. Severity, repetition, intent, remediation, and risk may inform action.
